Portland Hearts of Pine Lighthouse Kit

I went on a road trip to Burlington Vermont with my friend Connor to support the boys. It was freezing, gusting, snowing, and despite the loss, it was ultimately unforgettable. We met good people and made great memories. It was all worth it.

I spent a week or so getting schooled on lighthouse anatomy to make this kit-inspired jacket. The kit is an ode to the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, the easternmost point of the contiguous United States.

I used a Lands’ End barn jacket that I picked up from marketplace as a blank. I spray painted the stripes and hand painted the decals. Easter eggs include the lighthouse on the left hip and Dirigo Heart under the collar.
